Trickeration Nation

In a perfectly scripted world, isn't the climax or the big finish, reserved for the end of the story?

I am a former Bronco hater turned lover. It hasn't been easy. In my day, we all played Division II ball in Idaho and hating the Broncos and the Vandals was mandatory if you wanted to call yourself a Bengal. I mean after all, we did win the National Title three decades ago. It hasn't been easy or fair since then.

The Bengals have been left at the Division II altar while her two other sisters- well they found greener pastures.

But that was then and this is now. The LA Times is calling the BSU Broncos- the best team in the nation? Is that possible? I follow football closely, (you do this if you want to win a bet here and there) and I am just a little nervous. I think I still have those memories of some QB with a Z in his name and an evening game in Georgia languishing in my memory banks.

Well, we are going to find out in a hurry. Virginia Tech, whom I believe should be ranked even higher than the 10 ranking that got hung on them, is going to be a monstrous test. BCS bowl bids may hang in the balance. Lots of dough. There is a lot riding on this game and trust me, I expect Virginia Tech to be prepared because they know we will be. This might be a game that calls for trickeration and I think there might be a possibility of seeing some of that tomorrow night.

Did I bet the game? You bet I did. Being the fearless man that I am, after memorizing last years stats, I made the only bet that made sense. One large on the under. The point total was 51.  BSU 27, VT 23 would be just fine with me. Go Broncos.
